Candle Magick Spell to Attract  Money – Simple to Advanced

Candles and the occult go hand in hand. Candle magick is one of the most basic and traditional types of natural magick. In this article, we will see a candle magick spell for money. We will describe step by step how to perform the basic ritual and how to enhance it with multiple layers of symbolism. So anyone with a candle, matches and a strong intention will learn how to perform this money spell, while the more advanced practitioners will find some ideas to enhance it.

Speaking about candles and money, an interesting thing is that all wealthy homes have candles. White candles are commonly used because they represent purity and help dispel negativity. White candles are subconsciously and symbolically connected with cleanliness and purity, and some of the wealthiest households keep them burning all the time.

To begin with, let’s talk about the state of mind we should have when we want to perform this candle magick spell and all other spells.

Mental State

Good spellcasting comes first and foremost from having the right mindset. Always go into the ritual believing that you have already received what you’re asking for. It’s not a case of “I’ll give you this if you give me that.” It’s about saying thank you for giving me that, and I’m offering this as an expression of my desire to share what I’ve been given.

This is the mindset with which we approach our money spell from the start before we do anything else: to share what we have been given.

We approach the altar in celebration of what we have already received, rather than just to ask for money. The candles, sigil carvings, oils, and incense are all offerings made in appreciation for what we have received.

As a result, you should approach the altar with a grateful heart for what you have already received, that the ceremony and spell you’re executing now are only formalities.

What You Will Need

The first thing you will need is a green candle. Green is related to money, but it is also associated with the earth. Furthermore, the element of earth corresponds to money and material prosperity. Prefer an unscented candle; it is more effective.

A brown paper bag is the next item you will need. You can use parchment if you choose, but a brown paper bag would suffice. Brown is also associated with the element Earth. Tear off a square piece of a brown paper bag so that it doesn’t have any straight edges. You could also use green, but it will probably be easier to find a brown paper bag than it will be to find green paper.

Next, you’ll need a pencil to write your statement of intent on the brown paper bag. You can use a pen, but it won’t work as well as a pencil.

Take a look at the correspondences so far. The square is the symbol of the physical world. The lead in your pencil represents Saturn, and the brown color represents the earth. Green represents money and the element of earth.

Rise Up Energy

Raise your energy level before you begin. Raising magical energy is a frequently ignored aspect of magickal operation, yet it is important. You need to bring more energy into your ritual so that it can be charged with your intention and then sent out to do its work.

Chants, mantras, and singing are simple methods to do this. Dancing has the potential to generate a lot of energy (around the circle if your path requires it). These aren’t the only ways, of course. Since everything is energy, you can do anything. Even something as basic as rubbing your hands can be used to raise energy for magical purposes.

Your candles are emitting energy in the form of light and heat for this specific spell. So everything else you do will add up to the energy of the candles.

Basic Ritual

Step 1. Get into a comfortable, calm position; you can sit or kneel, whatever is more comfortable and pleasant for you. Meditate for a few minutes to get into a relaxed state.

Step 2. The next step is to create your statement of intent. Your statement of intent must be written in the present tense—not the future or the past, but the now. For example, “I receive money in unexpected ways.” If you have a certain amount in mind, you can enter it, but it must be in the present tense.

When you are done, sign your name on it. A document does not have any authority unless it is signed. This action gives credibility to your statement of intent.

Step 3. Light your candle and hold it in your right hand. Now imagine that you have the money. You’ll need to picture having the money in your hands and feeling how it feels. Try to smell the money, see the money, and hear the money as you fold the notes. Try holding them in your left hand, preferably (receptive), and imagine how that feels. You may even try putting them in your left pocket. Try even tasting the money… I know this is disgusting, but you get the point. Feel satisfied and grateful.

Step 4. While doing this, direct your visualization into the candle flame. Imagine that all of your visualizations are going into the candle. Don’t try to push it, because doing so will take you out of your relaxed mood. Just know that the energy is being directed into the candle flame.

Get in touch with the emotions of gratitude and happiness as you do these visualizations. The simultaneous feeling is required since that is the force!

After around 10 or 15 minutes, you may feel as though it is finished and it is time to move on to the next step.

Step 5. Place the piece of paper with your statement of intent beneath the candle, with no edges protruding. At this point, you should just let it burn all the way down. If you must leave and are unable to attend to the candle, you may extinguish it and relight it later. However, you should burn the candle all the way down.

Step 6: Forget about it! Ironically, in order to manifest, you must forget about your magick ritual. This is critical to the success of our ritual. Why? Because you are filtering it out while you are still thinking about it with your conscious mind. You cannot implant your message into your subconscious mind in this manner. So, once you’ve completed your ritual, the best you can do is go on to something else and keep your mind occupied with it. Stop thinking about your spells.

And this is the basic ritual. Below, we will see how you can add more layers of symbolism to increase its potency. As you can see, it is quite simple, and anyone can perform it. 

Ways to Enhance Your Ritual

You can make your candle spell more powerful if you wish. Here are a few ways to do this. You don’t need to follow all of them.

Proper Timing

This candle magic may be performed at any time, but if you want it to be stronger, it is best to do it on a Thursday while the moon is waxing, and of course, avoid the moon being void of course. For that reason, it is best to perform your ritual at the hour of Jupiter. There are numerous online applications that can assist you in determining the hour of Jupiter, the void of course, and so on.

Dressing the Candle

Another way to make your spell more powerful is by using oils, incense, and herbs that correspond to your intention. To “dress the candle,”  you can get money-drawing oil at any online occult shop or use extra virgin olive oil.

How you’re going to dress the candle is an important part. There are many different ways to apply the oil to the candle. I like the simple way.

The widespread belief on how to apply the oil is that you should apply it from top to bottom to attract something to you and from bottom to top to push something away, as well as clockwise to bring something to you and counterclockwise to banish something away.

In this spell, we would apply the oil clockwise from the top to the bottom of the candle. Moving back and forth should be avoided.

The important thing is not to get stuck on this and not to freak out if you put it on in a different way. It’s more important to see the result as if you already have it while you’re putting on the oil and preparing the candle. Because that is, in fact, more significant.

After you’ve applied the oil, you’ll want to apply your herb mix to the candle. You can roll the oiled candle in them or sprinkle them all around the candle. In any case, don’t use too many of them. You don’t want to start a fire. Again, we go in a clockwise motion.

Carve Sigils on the Candle

For those of you who use sigils, you can make a sigil from your statement of intent and carve it into the candle. Ideally, use a concentrated object to carve it. You can also put planetary signs or runes on the candles. I like to carve runes, so for this spell, I use Fehu (the rune of wealth) and Teiwaz (the rune of success). You can do your own research and use the runes that are best for you. Check out: Runes – Meanings and Magickal Correspondences.

Ritual Bath

It is a great idea to take a ritual bath or shower before doing the spell. The key element of the ritual bath is to relax and envision all the dirt and negative energy washing off of you before draining the tub and watching it all disappear down the drain.

The idea behind that is to make yourself clean and pure. This may not mean much to you consciously, but to your subconscious, it is very important.

What to Wear

The spell doesn’t require you to wear a robe. You may dress in white (preferably all white) or you could be skyclad (which is naked). The aim is to wear something out of the ordinary that will signal to the subconscious that this is something worth paying attention to.

Of course, you could wear your normal everyday clothes while casting the spell. This is just another layer of symbolism. 

Casting A Circle

If you want, or your path requires you to cast a magic circle for spellworking, you can do it. A physical circle is not required, although it is beneficial. Some individuals use salt, while others use rocks, while still others draw it in chalk, and yet others use rope.

Otherwise, you can do it with visualization. To do this, we imagine drawing a white light up through our feet, all the way up through our torso, through our arm, and through our fingers as we point our athame (a ceremonial dagger). If you don’t have an athame, you can use your middle and index fingers to point. Then, imagine shooting a white (or blue) laser beam around you and down onto the floor in a clockwise circle. Starting in the east and ending there as well.

If You Work with Spirits

Now, for advanced practitioners who like to work with spirits, you may place a small glass of rum or a cigar next to your candle. You should toss these out once the candle has been extinguished; do not drink or smoke them yourself because they are part of an offering. Some people are confused by it, yet it is a symbol. You are making a material sacrifice in order for new and better things to enter, and it is believed that the spirits prefer rum and cigars.

Safety First

Of course, I must say, always practice basic fire safety. 

• Never let a candle burn unattended.
• Keep your candle away from anything flammable.
• Place the candle away from open windows and from areas where children or pets may knock it over.
• When working with oil, take care not to burn your fingertips.
• Before disposing of the candle, ensure that it is completely extinguished.

End Words

How long will it take for your money to arrive? The answer is that it depends. Sometimes you receive quick results, and sometimes you don’t. It depends on a lot of things, like what obstacles are in your way.

This money magic will not make you wealthy. Anything is possible, but getting rich from a simple money candle is unlikely. On the other hand, if you need a few hundred dollars more, this is the way to go. Another thing to remember is that money is a means to an end, not an end in itself. Therefore, if you have a particular object in mind, it may be preferable to cast for that item rather than money.
