A Step-by-Step Guide to Creating Your Own Wealth Jar for Long-Term Benefits

Money jars or money pots are an excellent way to employ the concept of the container to attract wealth. Container magic is a growing field of magic, with spell bags and jar spells being shared on social media on a daily basis.

The origins of spell jars may be traced back to 17th-century folk magic. They were originally employed for protection against bad spirits, but they now have a far broader appeal. You don’t even have to be a witch to use them.

People use these spells a lot because they are easy to cast and because the ingredients needed to make them are easy to find. There are several ways to accomplish this, depending on the culture or even the location in which one is operating. Everyone adds their own little twist to it.

The money spell that I will share with you uses many components of popular container magick and sympathetic magick. The main difference from other money jars is that the collection of the main ingredients is somehow… adventurous. The good news is that you only need to make it once.

I think that now I have your attention. So, without further delay, let’s see what our main components are.

Main ingredients

What you need to do is gather soil from different places. You want to go gather soil from four separate banks (four is the number of physical manifestation), a bakery, a hospital, and a police station.

Yeah, you do need to walk around town with a few little baggies and a hand garden spade to gather soil from every single one of these places, including the police station. Having soil from these locations will ensure that you never run out of money, go hungry, become seriously ill, or are arrested.

All of this is sympathetic magick. Having soil from all these different places, it’s a symbol that you own a piece of the land on which these institutions are built. Nobody is going to refuse the bakery owner one bread; the police chief is unlikely to get into trouble with the law; the hospital owner will always have the best treatment; and the bank owner will never go bankrupt. Of course, if some of them are corrupt enough, they will eventually face the law, but… you get the idea.

Land possesses power, and the earth element has power, particularly over the material plane. You are literally mixing together symbols of the element of earth in a small container. So there are a lot of symbolic associations and correspondences.

It will require some effort and discomfort, but the good news is that you only have to do it once.

Additional ingredients

If you want to make your spell more powerful, you may add some more items that have strong wealth correspondences. Such as:

• Copper pennies. Mix in five copper pennies. If you want it to be even more effective, ensure that the date of the coins matches your birth date.
• Power could also be gained by using soil from a rich friend.
• Increase the strength of your spell by adding one or more herbs to your jar. You likely already have some or all of these herbs in your kitchen, so utilize what you have. All of these plants are money magnets: allspice, cinnamon, cloves, basil, and thyme.
• Add a green gemstone, such as aventurine or jade. Because aventurine and jade both promote prosperity, they are ideal for your wealth spell jar. If you don’t have aventurine or jade, you can use any other green crystal.
• Seeds represent growth.
• Sigils that correspond with your intent. Take a natural piece of brown paper that is torn (not cut) and draw your sigil. Then bury them in the soil.
• You may also draw sigils on the exterior of the jar.

Select Your Jar

A safe choice is a medium-sized ceramic jar with a lid. You can use silver, gold, copper, or glass jars as well. If you choose a glass jar, make sure it is not completely transparent.

You can find a variety of jars at a very cheap price in local stores. Or you can use something you already have. In any case, choose something that makes you feel abundant and happy. You can choose a jar decorated with prosperity symbols, or if you have the skills, you can decorate it yourself.

Take your time and choose something special. In magick the more you put in, the more you get out. As we mentioned before, this is a spell that you will perform once.

Cleanse Your Jar

If your path requires you to cast a circle for your spellwork, you can do it now; otherwise, you can continue.

Before placing anything in your wealth jar, you must cleanse it. To do this, light a cone of incense or a stick of incense and put it in a holder. You can use white sage or any other incense that matches your intention.

• Turn the jar upside down and place the opening over the incense.
• Fill the jar with smoke from incense.
• Do the same with the jar’s lid.
• You can either let the incense continue to burn or put it out.

Filling Your Wealth Jar

Once you have all the things you need and have cleansed your wealth jar, you can start building it. Although assembling a wealth jar is a straightforward process, doing it with intention is essential.

This is an important point. The intention is everything. First, take some time to meditate on your desired objectives and particular personal goals. Create a clear mental picture of accomplishment and hang on to it as though it were already yours. Your thoughts will be blended with the other ingredients as you create your jar. Each object that is placed in the jar should be handled with care.

Start by putting in the soil, which is the main ingredient, and continue with the additional components you have chosen. During the procedure, you can say a chant or a mantra. Not something special. It is not necessary, but it can help you stay focused and increase the vibration of your spellwork.

You can say something like this:

"As I place these items down,
I feel my hopes and dreams abound.
With each one, I set the stage,
for the universe to turn the page."

You can learn it more easily if it has a pleasant rhythm and rhyme.  By allowing it to flow freely from your lips, it bypasses the conscious portion of your mind and goes into your subconscious mind, i.e., the portion of your mind that directs energy toward your purpose.

Once everything is in the jar, take a minute to imagine yourself with the wealth you desire. Imagine yourself living an abundant life, and imagine what it’s like to have that money. What are your plans for it? What does this money enable you to accomplish?

Try to do this for a few minutes, or until you feel you’ve infused enough power into the jar. If you like, place your hands around the jar while you do this to physically transmit the energy.

Seal Your Wealth Jar (Optional)

This is an optional step. You can use it simply to add another layer of symbolism to your spell. Now, once you’ve assembled all of the components in your jar, it’s time to seal it with wax.

To seal your jar, use a green candle since green indicates money. Light the candle, and then drip wax all around the lid of the jar to seal it. Once the candle’s lid is coated with wax, let it burn down. If you don’t have a green candle, use a white candle. White may always be used to replace other colors.

Alternatively, place the candle on the jar lid and let it burn out. Just let the candle burn down until it goes out on its own, then let it slowly fall over the lid to seal it.

SAFETY FIRST! Make sure you’ve prepared a secure area for burning before you seal your jar. Keep an eye on your candle while it burns. Never leave it alone!

Wealth Jar Spell Timing

Timing is important for the overall success of your spells. Each magical goal has its own ideal time, which contributes to the effectiveness of your spellcasting.

The best time for money, prosperity and abundance spells is during the waxing moon, on Thursday or Sunday, during Sun or Jupiter planetary hours.

Recharge Your Wealth Jar

Once in a while, you must feed your wealth jar with energy. This can be done by simply shaking the wealth jar, adding coins and other items, or simply visualizing your intention while you hold it.

Where to Place Your Wealth Jar

When you’re done with your spell, you can decide what to do with the jar. You can put it on your altar or hide it. You can put it in a lot of different places, like the back of a closet or a corner of your house that no one sees.

The most important point is to place it in an area where no one is likely to run into it or knock it over. The wealth jar must always be concealed from the view of guests. Wealth jars not only offer an abundance of wealth, but they also protect against the loss of it.

Wealth Jar Spell Tips

• It is important to note that the Earth element is the slowest moving of all the elements. As a result, it may take some time to start gaining momentum.
• Combine your magick with action. Embody the energy you want to draw into your life.
• If you don’t have objects that correspond to your intention, color correspondences can help.  For instance, any green or gold gems or trinkets can be used in your wealth jar.
• All you actually need is a clear purpose and a strong intention, but every other association adds a layer of energy that will strengthen your intent.
• Elemental correspondences.
  • AIR: Think and write down your intention.
  • WATER: feel it while you write.
  • EARTH: The soil that you put in your jar.
  • FIRE: The candle on the jar’s lid.
