The Law of Gender – The Process of Creation in all Planes

“Gender is in everything; everything has its Masculine and Feminine Principles; Gender manifests on all planes.”–The Kybalion.

The Law of Gender is the final of the 7 Hermetic laws. The Law of Gender applies to all that has been manifested. No matter how small or big is an element in nature, everything is created through the Law of Gender.

Therefore, it is vital to learn how this law works and how we can use it to create our own life experiences. As Kybalion states, this principle manifests in all planes. Physical, mental and spiritual.

In all cases, the masculine energy pushes outside itself, whereas the feminine energy draws into itself to initiate the creative process.

With this action, the masculine force impresses upon the feminine energy the idea or the blueprint of the element to be created. The feminine energy, in turn, receives this blueprint, absorbs it, assimilates it, and gives birth to it later. It builds the blueprint provided by the male force.

This is the process of creation in all planes.

Although physical sex adheres to the law of gender, we are not talking strictly about physical sex, but for energetic forces. On the physical level, the physical differences between men and women are only a small manifestation of this law.

Law of Gender and Law of Polarity

The Law of Gender and the Law of polarity look alike but they are not exactly the same.

There are two main energies to all things in nature, the masculine and the feminine. There are two because they also must adhere to the law of polarity. But they’re not the same.

The masculine energy is equated to a positive charge and the feminine to a negative charge. This positive and negative does not mean good and bad. It is just indicative of the directional flow. They are the two polar opposites.

These two polar opposites go hand in hand in the creation process. We must be in harmony with both sides in order to benefit from both sides.

The Law of Gender and how it Relates to the Mind

Now we are going to take the concept of this law and apply it to the mind.

The masculine energy is the fiery dynamic force which is part of the conscious mind. In magick, we refer to it as the “Will”. The feminine energy is part of the subconscious mind.

When this dynamic force – the Will- successfully penetrates and impresses an idea upon the subconscious mind, the later absorbs and assimilates this idea. Then the subconscious mind – as the base of the feminine energy- will produce the results of this action. These results will manifest in your reality through synchronicity, as always happens in magick.

Using only visualization or meditation in a passive state is not going to give us the desirable results, because we are using only the feminine energy. We need to engage the dynamic, passionate male energy, too.

That’s why we use methods like:

Detailed mental images combined with strong feelings in visualization.
Affirmations that pronounced with confidence.
Symbols, sigils, rituals, chants and many other methods in magick.

All of these methods and many others have the sole purpose to make an impression upon the subconscious mind – the base of the feminine energy.

Then the subconscious mind processes this impression and gives birth to the results. First, they manifest internally, and then externally in our reality. This process leads us to another conclusion: all things need a gestational period to be manifested. Nothing happens instantly.

A baby takes nine months to grow and be born, seeds need time to germinate, all in nature needs some time to manifest. The same is true with our goals and ideas, it takes time to be manifested in reality.

Why we need the Masculine Energy?

We know that the subconscious can only accept and is unable to reject anything. Moreover, it cannot understand whether something is real or imaginary. On the other hand, the conscious mind acts as the guard of the gate. His job is to reject all thoughts that do not belong to our belief system and all the ideas that it considers as not real.

So, when you purposely try to impress upon the subconscious mind, your own conscious mind will get in the way of that. It will filter out everything that you’re trying to put in. This is because you are consciously aware of it.

Here we need to use a little bit of force, the masculine force – the “Will” of magick. The masculine energy will help us bypass this function of the conscious mind in order to impregnate the subconscious mind with an idea.

That’s why we use methods like the ones we mentioned earlier (rituals, sigils, affirmations, etc). They help us slip our message “under the radar” of the conscious mind and deliver it to the subconscious mind where the feminine force begins the creative process. But there is a caveat. This creation process happens whether you are aware of it or not. The statement that people do magick whether they know it or not is true.

Beware to what you Create Unintentionally

Every day we are bombarded with many thoughts and concepts. Our conscious mind, do its job and filters out the ideas that do not serve us.

But what about the ideas that it doesn’t handle consciously (i.e we are not aware of them), so it doesn’t reject them and they slip through the filter into the subconscious mind? The answer is easy, the subconscious mind will begin the manifestation process. And if this idea, through repetition, stimulates the subconscious mind, again and again, it will eventually come to our reality.

This is something that we need to be concerned about.

Things like,

Going through the articles and not really reading them,
The music you listen to – which is powerful, because music and lyrics are combined with an emotional charge,
Radio or TV playing in the background without paying attention to what is being said,
Scrolling through news feeds on social media,

In the absence of the conscious filter – when you do not pay attention- the subconscious mind will see and pick up all these ideas.

It is the method used by those who have the knowledge to impregnate your subconscious with fear in order to manipulate you easier. You have to guard your mind and don’t let anyone else put ideas in your subconscious. It will not be in your favor.

On the other hand, it is a good idea to use this principle to your advantage. You can put symbols or positive messages around your home, that are consistent with your goals. Maybe your conscious mind ignores them, but your subconscious collects, processes them, and then manifests them.

The creative ability of your subconscious mind will be used anyway, either by you or by someone else. Plant your own seeds and make your goals a reality. At the same time use your conscious mind to reject anything that does not serve your intentions.

The Law of Gender will always apply to everything has been manifested. There is not one aspect of creation where masculine and feminine principles remain absent or non-existent.

If you are satisfied with everything in your life, then great, you do not need to do anything. But if you want to change something you have to change what is in your subconscious mind.

It is imperative to dissociate yourself from all the opposite things that you are putting in your mind, either you are aware of them or not.

At the same time start to plant in your subconscious mind the seeds of your desired outcome. Do it constantly and your subconscious, through the feminine principle, will manifest this outcome. First internally and then externally.

It is not an easy process but it is worth it. Do not forget all the nature created through this process.
